‘Social economy’ covers a wide variety of areas but the need and opportunity for faith communities and faith based organisations to engage in the provision of goods and services as a fundraising activity and wider contribution to society has never been greater.
This conference, geared to both ‘old hands’, those with considerable experience in the area, and people who want to explore being involved, has the aim to take faith sector thinking further. We will benefit from a faith reflection on involvement, and keynote addresses from Juliet Cornford of Social Enterprise NI and Audrey Murray of Ledcom. There will also be the opportunity to tease out ideas and thinking in small group discussion, grouping together more experienced and less experienced people but hopefully still allowing appropriate reflection by those who have been very much involved in this area of activity. The morning’s work will conclude with a panel discussion and questions.
