In September 2015 the Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum will host the Quaker Tapestry Exhibition with a selection of captivating and colourful panels, created in the narrative crewel embroidery style of the Bayeux Tapestry.
This fine collection of embroidered panels chronicles and celebrates 350 years of Quaker life, ideas and experiences. Crafted by over 4000 men, women and children from 15 countries, the tapestry is a reminder of the rich contribution the Quaker community has made to art, science, education and political and civic life.
